International Volunteering Trip: teaching at our CiENViDAS school in a Jaipur slum, India
COME TO INDIA TO TEACH GIRLS IN A SLUM AT OUR SCHOOL. EDUCATION IS THE FUTURE.
Volunteers who take part in teaching activities make a direct, long-term contribution to the students’ development, boosting their confidence, academic performance and future prospects.
You’ll work as a teaching assistant or teacher at our new accredited IMPACT CIENVIDAS school in a slum of Jaipur, free for girls and boys with no resources and from very low castes.
The volunteer project activities are designed so that no prior teaching experience is needed. Teaching materials, daily activity/lesson planning and daily support are provided to volunteers to achieve the greatest impact during their time on the project.
Activities
You’ll teach English, math, computing or creative subjects (music, hands-on activities, …)
You’ll help with sports activities
You’ll help the children with their homework. Extra classes.
You’ll support the teachers with lesson planning and preparing teaching materials.

A volunteer’s day to day
The volunteers who’ll live with you come from all over the world and are very different people. But sharing such a profound experience fills the volunteer house with a warm atmosphere of companionship and friendship that you feel the moment you land. It’s something close, something special. So, among friends, your day starts with breakfast in the dining room before heading to your project, where you’ll be welcomed with open arms — volunteers are highly valued and respected in India.
You’ll work roughly from 9:00 to 12:30 or 13:00. Lunch, some free time, and back to work again — which is nothing but an enormously rewarding time where your help
gives back more to you than to them. In the afternoons, back at the volunteer house, you’ll have free time to explore the city or take part in the program’s cultural immersion activities.
And on weekends… free to rest, or to travel!
