Requirements to volunteer in Nepal
The requirements are simple. What matters most is your attitude, responsibility and ability to adapt.
Minimum age 18
Minors need signed authorization from their parents or guardians.
Basic English recommended
It helps you communicate with the local team. In some destinations Spanish also makes daily life much easier.
Documentation
Application form, CV and personal documents. Projects with minors may require specific certificates.
Positive attitude
No previous experience is required in most programs. Commitment, respect and flexibility are.
When to volunteer in Nepal?
Programs run for most of the year, although the climate and seasons shape the experience.

Best season
More stable weather, good visibility and pleasant temperatures for getting around Kathmandu.
December – February
Cold season
Clear days and cold nights. Bring warm clothing, especially for mornings and evenings.

Monsoon
More rain and humidity. Projects continue, but you should travel with flexibility.
