We’re at War: Choosing Hope Over Fear

June 2025

Are you one of those people who listens to the news every day? The media and social networks never stop sending us messages of fear: a third world war is coming, we’re in crisis, and so on.

All this news creates anxiety and fear in us, and fear often leads to paralysis, to inaction. I’m human too, and it worries me that my situation could change from one day to the next. But today more than ever we must look within for strength and trust that everything will be okay — otherwise we’ll live in the anxiety of a future that doesn’t exist. Only the present exists; the here and now is our chance to be agents of change, to vibrate and think positively, and not to feed the collective low-vibration energies that make us more vulnerable and easier to manipulate.

For our children in India, Nepal, Thailand, Peru and Bolivia, that fear of war doesn’t exist — in their innocence there is only the present, and their concern is simply how to live one day at a time, without nostalgia for the past or anxiety about the future. As children, they depend entirely on their parents and guardians, and they simply TRUST. If you’d like to do international volunteering, they’re waiting for you.

Today I ask you to keep trusting that we are capable of overcoming any adversity, and that while we can’t change the world, we can change our immediate surroundings and do our small part to make this world a better place. It’s our responsibility.

Let’s keep going!
